Snowy Wonderland

We woke up this morning to beautiful fresh snow...it is so majestic and quiet outside...snow quiet is a comforting silence. The snow absorbs every sound...I took my camera right out to the backyard...
When everything is covered in white, it's pristine looking...
Oops! Meant to take this in last summer to store away...but now it has a certain beauty to it!
These evergreens are outside my kitchen...I love staring at them when I am washing dishes! Today they are touched with heavenly white dusting...

The view of our backyard...

"We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand...and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it before it is too late"-Marie Beyon Ray
Today I am going to enjoy the white silence that surrounds us !

I clicked on the link to your blog and then walked away. I heard the sounds of the ocean and was instantly transported to a summery day on the beach. Thanks for the instant vacation.

Your white wonderland looks much nicer than our grimy icy one does.

The snow pictures are beautiful, Tara.

We're supposed to be getting snow tonight and tomorrow. That's a lot of excitement for North Carolina!

Hugs,
Donna

I do love the lacey look of the trees, but can't they look like that AND the temp be 50 degrees outside? Can't they?

Tara, this is absolutely amazing! Your home and yard look like a greeting card. I love seeing these. One of my favorite movies of all time is the version of "Little Women" that came out several years back, and the snow scenes in it are phenomenal. So are yours!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Tara

Wasn't the snow pretty today? I went out very early to shovel my sidewalk and I enjoyed seeing all the tree limbs covered with snow, and the light gold color of the sky and the hushed streets.

Your yard looks so lovely! A perfect winter scene.

Hugs, Pat

Tara, despite me being scared of the cold, I find beauty in those heavenly white dusting. It looks and I am sure it is, so calm and blissful. Our monsoon is quite over and the blinding sun is up, giving me more freckles :( It would be so much fun for the children to enjoy all the different seasons right at home. It looks really magical :D

Oh yes, Tara, us too! I loved it...it was the perfect snow...five inches of bliss for most of the day and night and today it's mostly gone! The cats are happy about that, though they quite enjoyed it for a while!
hugs
Sandi
