Yesterday afternoon the big kids in the house were out at the beach and my little one and I had some time alone together... We pulled out the watercolors...
the buttons...
And sat and painted for a few hours, creating mosaics like these. We talked and painted, ate snacks...And then she asked, "Mom, do you think the elves and Santa are busy right now doing things like this in the North Pole?"
"Of course!" :0)

Well, bless her little heart! She is certainly thinking ahead isn't she!
She's hoping they are busy 'cause she knows time is flying by and Christmas will be here soon!

I know that I am personally counting on it.
What a sweetheart. (You and her.)
How fun, a little girl, painting and a snack too, I'll be right over. She sounds so cute, and that's the best part about being with young children they think about the important stuff. Karen
That was such a sweet afternoon to spend together, Tara.
I felt so sad when my children grew too old to believe in Santa Claus -- now that is so many years ago...lol!
Hugs, Pat
Oh Tara,
Don't you just love when little ones come up with questions like that? I hate to say it, but this 46 year old STILL believes in Santa and his elves. He couldn't do it by himself ya know!
so cute!!! They better be busy up at the North Pole cuz summer is almost over!
Tara, this is so sweet. I like this post, it's a reminder for me to spend those important moments with the children, which I am lacking nowadays. Well, school holidays up next week, so I hope to do something fun with them, I think they need a break from me nagging @ them to do homework blah blah blah..same thing everyday, I could;ve recorded them hahaha. I need the break too :D have a great weekend and hugs too :D
Oh, how sweet...That looks like fun! I miss playing like that ;o) And with Christmas but a few months away now...I'm sure Santa & the gang are in full swing cranking out the gifts! LOL! Happy Day ((HUGS))
How sweet, isn't it great to spend time with the little ones. I have my granddaughter next week and can't wait!
What a wonderful Mom you are! How lucky your little one has you to teach and guide her. Wonderful post, Tara...truely you are wonderful, too!

As a bonafide member of the elf world, please tell her that we are indeed busy right now!!
How sweet! Of course the elves and Santa are making lovely creations like your daughters right now!
