I know Southern life is very different from life as a New Yorker...they really know how to slow down and smell the roses...
and the impatiens while appreciating life...
But we saw the oddest speed limit signs...
??? In NY, it's 30 or 55.... nothing creative like this...
But this one just had my husband and girls guffawing...my husband had a hard time finding it on the speedometer! Hee-hee!

We do have a little less hectic pace down south...however, my son thinks we are cowpokes around here...he likes the fast paced world he lives in! Those signs are so funny and I must admit, I don't believe I've ever seen one for 13 MPH!
Thanks for your sweet comments about my home...I enjoy decorating it but my problem is, I'm never finished!
Take care,
Judy
Wow! I'd be falling asleep!
Tara, 6 mph? is that for bicycles, tricycles, roller blading? typo error surely? 24 or 13? I dont know how to drive at this speed and is this from your neighbourhood? really good post for a good laugh :)
These signs are great..thanks for the giggle!

Your trip to South Carolina sounds wonderful! Cute signs.
Have a great weekend .
Can the speedometer even go that low? These are hilarious. Taking pictures of speed limits is definitely something I would be doing. Thanks for the laugh.
That is so funny! I always tell my hubby, "I can walk faster than that!"
Hugs,
Donna
I so enjoy your "take" on things.

I think you took a wrong turn and landed in the Land of OZ! I'm pretty sure cars don't go that slow! LOL
So funny, Tara!
I loved when we drove west and were able to legally drive 75 miles an hour! We actually hit 90 on a long stretch in rural Nebraska...wheeeee!
Hugs, Pat
Such a cute post! I sometimes long for a slow and simple life!! I often do, actually! :-)
Happy weekend,
Melissa
You didn't notice any impatient snails beeping their little horns at you as they went whizzing by, did you sweetie? lol

Slow is good...I'm a natuarlly slow person, I'm not sure if I know how to do fast in any way, shape or form--LOL! Maybe I need to move south?! Fun and very pretty post, Tara. Happy weekend to you & yours ((HUGS))
LOL..never saw speed limit signs like that. Beautiful flower pics too.
Hi Tara
I am having a giveaway. You might want to stop by! Rhondi xo
Cute signs...I think people just slow down, because it is so unusual!

Hi Tara, thank you for taking pictures of those speed limit signs LOL. How unusual!
I've never been to New York - I lived in the LA area for three years though. I'm sure NY is exciting and so alive:)
Happy Weekend

What super signs - informative AND pretty too!
Inspiring signs to slow down which is always a great way to find more time!
I love these Tara...somewhere in Chesterfield County is a sign that says Speed Limit Stroll...I saw it while on patrol one night and nearly wrecked the cruiser trying to "Stroll down the avenue" !
Loved this post...

Cute signs, I probably would not have even noticed. :) Yeah, that Austrian guy was psycho...and what about his wife? Did she not hear anything for 20 years?? Stoooopid. Hope you are having a great weekend.

13 mph cracks me up!
Hubby & I have lived in both worlds....the fast paced-New England-gotta-commute-gotta-have-it-all. That is how we grew up. So we both subscrbibe to that doctrine. Then we moved here to the MS Gulf Coast and we were educated beyond our BA's, BS's and Masters degrees by lifestyle changes. Life here is enjoyed and slow. There are positives and benefits to both lifestyles. I do wish my fellow New Englanders would embrace a tiny bit of the Southern lifestyle. PS...I'm a huge SOX fan, as is daughter, hubby is a Yankees fan...BOO, son stays neutral.
Those signs are SOOO funny! ~ Lynn
