I began my blog in January 08 after spending months perusing other people’s blogs. I did not know what in the world I’d have to say but it appears I have had so much to say I am almost at my 100th post! I’d like to celebrate with a 100th post giveaway! Just leave your name here in the comments at the end of the post and you are in the running. The prize? I am going to try to tailor it the winner if possible!
Pat from Mille Fiori Favoriti has bestowed me the “Arte y Pico” award. Thank you so much, Pat! A Brooklyn native, Pat and I are kindred spirits! My parents are born and bred Brooklynites. They moved to the suburbs shortly after marriage. I have learned so much about their younger years from Pat’s great exposes on traveling around New York City. She posted about the Green Wood cemetery in Brooklyn where, my 70 + year old parents informed me, they went to smooch! Without Pat, I would not have known this endearing detail of their lives! (Although their grandchildren have been teasing them about smooching in a cemetery! Hee-hee!).
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented her/him with the award.
4) The award winner and one who has given the price have to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5) To show these rules.
I’d love to pass this award along to…
Spot of A dog’s life in Tamar valley, Cornwall, PL 17—because of Spot, I will visit Cornwall in my lifetime. I’m serious. His pics of his local countryside are so absolutely amazing and a feast for the eyes. The countryside is bucolic and gorgeous. View this blog and the stresses of the day fly away. I need to be Cornish. No, we all need to be Cornish.
Amanda of My Treasure Box. You’ll open this link and gasp at her pic of baby shoes. Her photos are haunting and thought provoking. This woman can take a picture!
Tracy at Pink Purl. From Norway, Tracy is multitalented: cooks, sews, knits, has an Etsy shop…and has given me great advice on the easiest way for my son to visit his Norwegian girlfriend at home in Norway this summer (he couldn’t meet a girl from Pennsylvania??). Hee-hee!
Deb of Posted From Home. I love seeing the world from outside her window! She loves the simple things in life and reminds me to take notice!
Rachel of A Romantic Porch. Rachel is so thankful everyday for her life and I am a better person for reading her blog!
This is a short list but everyone of you is special. I enjoy visiting everyone all the time!
Good luck on the 100th post giveaway!
