Welcome to our dining room
Welcome to our diningroom. Formal diningrooms make we weak at the knees.
It’s a northern exposed room so the color had to be light—and what better color than pink? It’s very formal and froo froo. But not so froo froo it’s not used. We eat here a lot. I love having dinner with lots of candles, the light just bounces off the walls.
I could not decide on a china cabinet so I chose side by side twins! I think the look is a little different and not as heavy looking as a full wall cabinet would be.
I like to mix my china with real elements. These star fish are from a recent Florida trip and the rocks were collected on from beaches on Block Island.
Tomorrow we are going into the cabinets—lots of stories in there!

I love your dining room. Pink is gorgeous, and I too love a nice candlelit dinner for the family. Why save the dining room for special occasions when every day can be special?
How pretty! I can just imagine a candlelit dinner in there...

Beautiful room Tara. China cabinets hold lots of memories and stories :-}
I love the idea of a kitchen couch. There is something very cozy about some stuffed furniture in the kitchen area.

Your home looks very comfortable. I love the dish displaying the rocks.
What a gorgeous looking dining room. It must look pretty all lit up with candles.

Ooooohh I love your "froo froo" dining room! It's so pretty and dreamy. I can imagine how beautiful it would be with cadles a glow! Such a lovely pink!

Oooh, how pretty -- love the starfish, too! And I love that you use it a lot; it's too pretty to be kept just for special occasions.

Very pretty! That color on the walls is just lovely. And thanks for joining in the "post pink" fun!
