Mosaic Monday

As I’ve been thinking of all the people in Haiti this week, I have been wondering about the children who may be separated from their parents. Last weekend, before the earthquake, I took these pictures of my parents’ home for Mary's Mosaic Monday.

For me, there’s comfort here in the form of kind, loving words…there’s security here in the knowledge that if I need a hug due to stresses of the big old world, I can come to this place…where I know where everything is, where I know every crevice, where I know I’ll find a shoulder when I need it, a warm embrace...

And right now I wish every Haitian child the comfort, the peace, the warmth of his parents’ arms.

This is a lovely post, and a lovely place to go to when you need a certain kind of comfort. I too pray for the Haitian children to find that comfort. ::Jill

I keep thinking about Haiti and trying to explain it to my 6 year old. I'm glad I get to hold her right now.

It is a lovely house, with fine and delicate things.

It is just a terrible situation on what's going on in Haiti. My heart cries for the young ones.

Dearest Tara,
What kind and comforting words and sentiments to send to Haiti; I pray exactly that your heartfelt prayers and wishes will reach these people and that healing will come to them; may the people that are there right now at their sides be the hand of God, extending grace, help and restoration. How fortunate we are for every little comfort. Thank you for visiting me. Comments such as yours are also a healing balm for those of us who may be struggling at this very moment. Thank you. Have a splendid day!!! Anita

Tara, You expressed it so well; I think all of us are reeling from the tragedy, prayers and donations help but I wish we could all reach out in a more personal way, too.

Your family home is gorgeous and I can see why it is a favorite haven. I'm sure it is filled with love, too. Beautiful, beautiful photos ~ the lighting is exquisite.
Thank you for allowing us a peek. xo

I know what you mean Tara. The sights from Haiti are so sad. The country already had a high percentage of orphans.

Your parent's house is so lovely --a beautiful haven.

Hugs, Pat
