Happy New Year Mistletoe

Each year we hang the mistletoe in the kitchen door…a spot in our house of heavy traffic. It’s on the way to the laundry room and the garage so we are always passing through here. Yet, during this holiday season, more often than not on our busy comings and goings, a voice will cry out…

“I’m under the mistletoe!” And right then and there, you’ll stop in your tracks. You won’t think about the packages you may be carrying or the next appointment you need to get to. Smiling to yourself, you’ll drop everything to take this one small moment in time to acknowledge your love …

with a big hug and a kiss…right there in the kitchen, under the mistletoe…

even if it means you’ve grabbed Tucker, our beloved family dog!

You know, I think we’ll keep the mistletoe in the doorway this winter after we put away all the holiday trimmings…
Who couldn’t use a hug all winter long? :0)

Happy New Year, dear blogging friends!

Dearest Tara,
WOW! What an awesome idea. And I love that your post is short, concise, to the point and very profound! Thank you for coming to visit me! How did you find me? Did you come via Karen Harvey Cox? She is a pal from my beginnings. What a wonderful year this has been. Thank you for your visit, and I hope we see more of each other this new year! Have a wonderful day out there in New York! Oh, I lived in Massachusetts for 11 years. I love the east coast.

Love that picture of Tucker. Look at him patiently waiting to be loved. Oh, what a cutie!

Tucker is adorable! I'd give him a kiss XXXX

I took down all the Christmas decorations this weekend too --a little sad about that as I usually keep them up to the 6th and Little Christmas, but my tree was shedding pine needles like crazy and my cat was eating them..not good!
