Getting Ready...

Getting ready for the holiday...the table is set...

The scents of pre-cooking are coming out of the oven...

There's a certain joy to seeing a table ready for a holiday, everytime you walk past you think of the joy and laughter that will take place at this table when your loved ones are there...

Setting up for dessert and coffee...right near the table so I don't have to leave anyone!

I notice my children walking past the diningroom and smiling to themselves as if they know what is ahead, and I think how wonderful to know I am creating memories for them they'll carry all their lives!

Yes, lots of wonderful memories and traditions for the children to take with them when they grow up!
My best friend has the same Old Country Roses China at her house. It's so perfect for this time of year.
Merry Christmas to you!

I just went to sign into Share Your Cottage Monday & there are not many of us playing today. Please stop by & see me.

Your table is amazing. Your colors are so soothing & beautiful. I have not started baking yet like you have but, soon I must. Christmas is such a wonder for the little ones. I am so glad yours realize what a special time you are creating for them. Merry Christmas! Charlene

You have a beautiful home Tara. I found your blog from Cottage Monday. I am snowed in today and catching up on my blogging. Your mirror over the buffet is gorgeous! Come by and visit sometime!

Good for you..having the table set! It's a task I always seem to leave until the end, so maybe I should try to get it done soon!

Hi Tara, Everything looks so pretty. My table is not set for dinner but it is set for a buffet with all the chairs pulled back. If the snow doesn't keep them away we will have a large crowd for Christmas day dinner. I hope you and yours have a fabulous Christmas. xo Lynn

Hi Tara! I missed this post last week -- well, I missed LOTS of posts last week with Christmas stuff going on.

Your dining room looks gorgeous -- I love the calm, pale table setting for the holiday. Very elegant!

And you are right -- you are building priceless memories for your children, and influencing how they will celebrate the holidays in their own homes someday. I hope your Christmas feast was scrumptious and the laughter was plentiful!

Blessings in the new year -- Cass
