World's Oldest Blogger

This lovely lady's name is Maria Ameilia and she is known as the World's Oldest Blogger. A resident of Galicia in the northwest corner of Spain, she passed away recently at the ripe old blogging age of 97!!

And you are not going to believe this--she had 1,162 followers of her blog from all over the planet! She felt that she had discovered a whole new world from blogging and adored all of her blogging friends. I love how this elderly classy lady found the same comfort, solace, and friendship from blogging that we also find.

Will we be blogging at 97? Hee-hee!

Hi Tara,
Wow that is old! Not old in the sense of being old, but that someone that old would have enjoyed the new technology and the wonderful friendships it bring. Will I be blogging when I'm 97...hm?

I hope you're having a great weekend!

xoxo Cori

Now that is a wonderful story -- to find a whole new world for yourself at such an advanced age -- what a remarkable woman! I don't know if I'll be blogging at 97 - it might be passe by then.

And our beach house is in Southold. :-) If you are heading east on 25, just before you approach the village of Southold (where there is a big bend in the road), if you take a right turn you go out onto Hog Neck; our house out on the Neck, across a cove from Laughing Waters.

It's a beautiful spot. Alida and I are heading out there early tomorrow morning, staying just till Monday. Can't wait.

This was so interesting Tara!
I bet blogging helped to keep her young and gave her a lot to look forward to.
I hope we'll be envolved with the world, too, if we are blessed to live so long! I wonder what the new social media thing will be then?
