A Game of Library

Our youngest daughter loves to play Library. She'll set up books all over the livingroom, categorized by age...

Here's her sign on the French doors leading in from the kitchen, telling everyone the Library is open for business...
She calls this the preschool corner...

Books for older kids...
You can even sign up for a library tour! She made everyone in the family a library card and uses my computer mouse to go over the barcode of the book! All of us were encouraged to sign up for a Library tour...

And you had better have your books back on time or you will receive a late notice! Haha! :0)

That is so cute! I love it when my kids do this kind of thing. We were at the real library yesterday and my kids got their very first library cards. They were so excited! Have a wonderful day! :0)

This reminds me SO SO much of my girl when she was little. And, as she grew, she continued to love to go to the library and loved to read. At 39 and 4 kids later, she doesn't have the time to read as much as she would like but, that love will always be there for her later. Reading is a GOOD thing..

Tara, that is adorable!

I was a library assistant in Jr. High and took my work seriously, too, and my SIL and her hubby are both librarians. I think it's wonderful that your little one loves books that way, and I love that you all are encouraging her!

XO,

Sheila... who sees Patrick on the wall there! Love it!

I can just imagine your little girl growing up to work in a school or a library!

Oh, this is so clever!! Wish I lived near your "library". I'd be over there getting the guided tour and checking out books.

Keep up the good work and don't forget to add some music CD's and movie DVD's to the library. :) :)
