Disney Holiday

Have you ever been to Disney for the holidays? If not, it really is something you should consider doing at least once with your family! In typical Disney fashion, they put out all the stops! The park and all the hotels are decorated so beautifully! One morning we had brunch at the Grand Floridian Hotel,

During the holidays the Grand Floridian has a large life-sized gingerbread house in the lobby!
Being New Yorkers, we were entranced by the warm weather and the fauna we saw everywhere!
We watched a cute show in front of Cinderella's castle...

Somewhere along the way I got the idea to take pictures in front of every Christmas tree we saw in the park. In total, I have over 38 pics or so! You know my kids were crazy with this but, in the spirit of vacation and the holiday, they obliged their Mom! The trees are so beautifully decorated by theme depending on where you are in the park.

This one was in Epcot...

Our hotel had a southwestern theme as did the tree...

MGM's was probably the largest of all!

On Christmas morning there is a parade down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. We grabbed a couple of bagels and coffee for breakfast and took a spot alongside the route...

The floats are so lively!
My little one enjoyed the characters dancing along!
The morning was so warm and festive...
Nothing beats Cinderella in her carriage!
My personal favorite, Donald Duck!

And, of course, Santa at the end!
We ventured into the park one night...Cinderella's castle was dripping with icicles...

During the holiday season, there are activities for little ones all over the park. The hotels host Cookies with Santa and each park hosts other activities..here is my youngest daughter in Epcot...
The finished result! We had a wonderful family time together doing something very different for us! This year we are back home snuggled in 30 degree weather but I am so glad we did this together!

When I first met my husband and found out that he spent his summers as a ride operator at Disneyland ... there was NO turning back. Our family has a well worn path in their hearts for Disney. I can't believe we have never gone there at Christmas, but you have convinced me that we have to change that ... pronto!

That looks like so much fun! I sure wouldn't mind a nice warm Christmas! I am so enchanted by that life size gingerbread house.

I was also catching up on previous posts. You have a very pretty tree! I love the idea of the Christmas french toast! I have a breakfast casserole that has become a tradition at my house.
