In this day and age of computer games, my husband and youngest daughter have had a Monopoly game going on for the past week...she's learning all about how to mortgage her properties (short selling?)! Hee-hee! And that Park Place is the best real estate to own. When they leave the game, she writes a note about who goes next...I keep asking if I can clean up the game board and get a loud, "NO!" from both of them. I think even Tucker is exhausted by how long it is taking to finish!

Hi Tara!
That's so cute! It's so fun to teach them about serious games. Our favorite family game has always been Clue, a game I truly enjoy! And I always get to be Scarlett of course LOL.
I have a new background thanks to you! Stop by and check it out. I had so much fun trying different ones and finally decided on the one I'm using now, I think it suits me well!! Thanks Tara!!!
Hugs, Sherry
How swee! Good for them that they are playing a game that inspires them to think and not just react. Those old games never lose their charm:>)
I think Monopoly is good for kids! Helps with math, reading etc. My 8 yr old love it and is good at it....he always seems to win. He buys up every property he can and then we all end up paying him rent! He always has a pile of cash. Beats the heck out of computer games!
We've always loved Monopoly! The only board game I dislike is "Risk" -- it takes forever and ever to play. My husband loves it and has a hard time finding someone to play with .. lol
Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Pat
Oh, Tara..I love your new look. I got one, too !!
When our kids were little, we kept a game going all the time, too. That and a puzzle on a card table in the living room....sooo much better than being attached to the tv set !
love, bj
Too much fun!
Well Monopoly does take forever to complete. I love it though.
I love that they are playing this game....great quality time.
HI, Tara! OH, this is so cute...Who won?! Poor Tucker...he looks all tuckered out--LOL! Have heaps of family fun this weekend :o) ((HUGS))
Hi Tara :)
We do the same thing with scrabble. We have tournaments LOL I love those old board games :)

Tara,
I just love it at your house, always wonderful home style fun going on there. Tucker looks so snuggly. I remember the days of board games and little kids...sigh. Well, I can be a Grandma someday.

A great family game..the girls and I play together..thought it was long enough taking up the whole morning!! You are very patient! Happy Sunday :D
Hi Tara,
Memories of the Monopoly board. Everyone I ever played with CHEATED! I hope our daughter is learning to be an honest investor...lol!
Tucker is probably sitting there thinking, "OK, when am I going to get my treat?"
This is a family favourite in our home too, many happy times playing Monopoly together!
