At first, she had no idea what it was. Her sister told her..."and it makes a gross sound!" That's all a 7 year old needs to hear! She planted this all over the house. We'd see her setting it up...
under a towel on a kitchen chair. Then she'd hide off in a corner with her hand over her mouth waiting for some unwitting (but very active participant!) family member to take a seat.
And, of course, we'd have a big ole reaction of, "What the heck was that??" She'd run out of her spot giggling and laughing! She got us in the livingroom and diningroom...her brother guffawed, her grandfather really fell for it and one morning, rushing to work, she had planted it in my car where I really DID NOT see it! I couldn't help but laugh that I had been fooled by the Whoopie Bandit!
Ah, the simple pleasures of being 7! :0)

Oh I can just see her with her hand over her mouth thinking she is fooling everyone:>) What a joy that age is!
You have brought back memories!!! This was always the most prized PRIZE from school carnivals. You never knew when it would show up!
So funny, glad she is having so much fun at her poor family's expense!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could keep that sense of fun throughout our lives?

Tara, And that little cushion has made fun memories! Ahh....thats what life was made for, what a joy she must be! Lori
LOL!!!! What a great post, Tara! We had the invasion of the Whoopie Cushion(s) (note the plural), at Christmas one year with my family. My dad has always been known, well, for the whoopie cushion nature gave to him (He'll never be reading this), and so it was a big gag all of played on him. It was our "gift" to him that year (or so we announced "Here's our present to you dad...")-Then we all proceeded (even his mother at 79years old) to sit on our whoopie cushions and let the music sing... LOL!!! There were like 15 whoopie cushions sounding off at the same time! He got so red from laughing so hard, we thought he might end up with a heart attack! It was sooo funny...
Gotta love the whoopie cushion...

Hi Tara :)
Every year I put one in my kids stockings and until it pops, they use it every chance they get on poor Rich. He hates those things, but I think it's hilarious to make him turn red LOL

My son always picks one of those as his prize from the dentist...so we have a new one of those every six months! I have to admit I think they are pretty funny....my level of humor I guess! Haha
Annie
...so funny :D If I come and visit, I'll look out for it so I wont be tricked into sitting on one..imagine that!! haha, hugs
Thanks for visiting my blog, I am glad you liked it!
Your home is beautiful, it looks like the kind of place a person could just sink into.
I try so hard to be proper and grown up, but I have to say that there isn't much of anything more funny than fart noises. With teenage boys in my house, believe me, fart noises both fake and real run rampant.
Such a fun and funny post! Glad your daughter had so much fun with it!
