Thankfullness galore

"All of us tend to put off living...we are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon -instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today"
-Dale Carnegie
Not this crowd! Every blogging friend I have looks at his/her life in an appreciative and grateful way. Whenever I visit all of you, I see Thankfullness galore! I always come away full of spirit, whether it is from a new recipe, a great photo, and lovely story or new design...
Noone's putting off living in Blogland!

Hi Tara,

What a great quote...I think that is something I used to do but not anymore. Life is too precious and going by too quickly to not appreciate every minute! I thought your remembrance of 9/11 was moving and so sad. That day was just enormous sadness. We were living near you then...my husband went to the trade center frequently, but thankfully not that day. A little boy in my daugther's kindergarten class lost his father that day...she told me "so and so's daddy is not coming home...he is stuck in the dust". I nearly died when she said that ...her little 5 year old way of understanding what happened! So many stories, so much sadness, what heartless people the terrorists were. I am so sorry about the friends you lost...

I think the act of sharing on our blogs keeps us focused on the specialness of each day don't you? But we still need the reminder. It is so easy to forget to stop and smell the roses we have right now:>)

You are right. Most people I have met handle life with such grace, and if they do share sadness, etc. it is a genuine reaching out and not just another complaint. There are some very strong and beautiful women out there that look at life in a very wonderful way.

HI Tara,
I think your quote is perfect for today, but I'm not quite sure how to put it into words as to why. I have a few blooms outside and think I'll go pick them for the coffee table. It's always a joyful sight walking in the door.
How were your feet last night? I hope toasty in some comfy fluffy socks. Mine, well you know, the one was hanging off the bed. Ha! Ha!
Have a wonderful blessed weekend. I hope your dad is feeling better!?
Love Cori

Tara, I always love visiting your blog. That's amazing that your Dad helped build the twin towers. And I loved your windows tour. Not sure how I missed it until today but here I am. It's going to be 95 degrees here today. Someone forgot to tell the weather man that Fall is near. :)
