Bathroom update

Since it's been like this all winter, we decided to continue our renovating projects! We are still waiting for some pieces to be delivered for our other daughter's room (future sharing!).

I wanted to carry the color scheme of our master bedroom into our adjonging bathroom.

Of course, our concern was a bathroom update can wind up costing a zillion doolars so we were trying to be economical! We bought the sink cabinet with the marble top already attached at Lowe's for about $250.00. That wasn't too bad and it has a ton of storage!
(Just realized how blurry this was--sorry!)

We painted the walls with mildew resitant paint, something I had never heard of. For some reason in this bathroom we had a major mold issue and this paint is supposed to eliminate that problem! (All that mold just couldn't be healthy, plus it looked terrible!) I bought the wire decorations at Kohl's on the clearance rack for $10.00 for both. Score!

Here's our shower curtain...my little one helped us pick out these playful monkeys! I feel like I'm being taken away to a Carribean island when I walk in and see this!
Lastly, from Spiegel for $30.00, I was able to find this curtain that is a direct match to the comforter I have on my bed--serendipity!
We were proud of ourselves for keeping to a tight budget and I'm happy with the results!
P>S> Thanks for all the good wishes on last post--I'm back to lovin' life! You were all so great!

A beautiful bath and a bargain at that. I love all of your little touches.

The blog about your awful day was all too familiar. Some day we'll understand what the heck that kind of thing is all about!

Glad things are looking up.

Hi Tara,
Thanks for posting on my blog!
Your story about "bad Karma" was hilarious! What did you do to deserve that?
I also love your color combinations in your bed and bath. I always say that every room should have a splash of red.

Hi Tara,
Thanks for posting on my blog again. My poor yard is such a disaster that I had to find one good thing in it today. I usually overlook those iris plants and have often tried to rip them out, but they seem to have burried their roots too deeply and just won't allow me to dig them up.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Tara,
now all you need is an original pve design, perhaps inspired by the monkey shower curtain,
-monkeying around in the bath!
looks like a cheery and fun bath!
