Hammock Time

A big thanks to Shannon at Faith and Chocolate! She asked us to participate in an "Unplugged Day" and share our comments...only mine was an Unplugged Week when the girls were home in February for winter break. Here were my thoughts:

"I have been unplugged all week--kids and I are off from school...I have called noone, napped on my kitchen couch, looked at sunbeams stream across the livingroom flr, played webkins with my youngest...work and the busy life returns next week and I am staying like this until MON morning! I seriously need recharging! I read a John Lennon quote where he said in order to give out (his music) he needed to give in (his 5 years of nonproductivity)...makes sense to me! Enjoy your unplugged day!!"

I actually did get back to work and for a busy March month, I feel fine! If it can work for John Lennon it can work for us, right?

I won this wonderful Easter door hanger from dear Shannon and these bunny tags...so far I have used them as tags on shamrock plants for friends and they will be on the kids' Easter baskets--thanks, Shannon! Take a visit to her blog, it is a nice place to be!

Abbie of Whimsy of a Staggering Woman is doing a giveaway in celebration of her 300th post--she invites you to join in the fun!

Other than that, it is Sunday and I'm on the hammock! Enjoy!

The unplugged challenge is a great idea. Running on empty is never productive. Thanks for the reminder to slow down. Hope you have a great March, Tara!

While you're laying there unplugged and relaxed, I'd like you to think of 7 random things about yourself, because I'm tagging you. See my blog for the rules.

Tara,
Thanks for the wonderful comments about my photos you left today - that was really uplifting for me.
Unplugged - would that be a day without my computer - oh heavens, I'm not sure I can go that unplugged! Just kidding.
Hope your skies are as beautiful as the blue ones I'm looking at today.

My daughter has a thing for hammocks too, and if we had somewhere to string one up, I'd get her one! I agree with you, everyone needs to take time out to relax and decompress. Actually I just posted on that very thing this morning! Hope you're having a lovely day Tara sweetie!

It was such a busy weekend for me that the computer was not turned on at all until this evening. Sometimes I need to do that, as hard as it is! Family comes first. :-)

Hope you enjoyed your "unplugged time"

Cute tags!

Hugs, Pat
