House Sitting

My neighbor asked me to watch his house while he went on vacation to Ireland. I said yes, of course, and kept an eye on things. When he returned he presented me with a wrapped gift for house sitting.

My grandfather is from County Cork, Ireland. When I was young he brought me back pieces of a Tara China tea set. I had all the pieces of the set except, for some reason, the teapot, so it was never really displayed.

When I opened my house sitting gift, I gasped! It was the teapot! I asked him how he could have known…he replied, known what?

I explained about my tea set. He was as surprised as I was. He said, “The china has your name on it and when I looked at that teapot I just knew it was the right thing to get”.

Divine intervention? I believe so!

Hi Tara,
It is amazing how things workout sometimes, isn't it? I like the idea of two matching pieces instead of one huge one.. lovely!
