I had 20 over Christmas Eve, after working until 4:00pm. It was close but I was prepared and I have a buffet so everyone can come and eat when they want. I could never do the entire 7 fishes. I do more of a 3 or 4 fishes.Magnolia Street Stylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01747501888441594097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6195455897748645919.post-70080481685256883902008-12-31T21:20:00.000-05:002008-12-31T21:20:00.000-05:00Hi Tara!It was hard to leave my sweet little grand...Hi Tara!

It was hard to leave my sweet little grandbaby behind in Denver but I'll be going back in a few months to baby sit when my DIl goes back to teaching first grade. Then her Mom will come out a few weeks and do the same until the school semester is over for the year and she has the summer off. I'm looking forward to that as Leo will be in the cute smiley age by then.

I've been doing the feast of the 7 fishes since I've been married -- only we have lobster/ calamari sauce and there has to be bacala
(salted cod fish) for my husband, cooked two ways.

This Eve I cooked crab sauce for the first time as we couldn't find fresh calamari in Denver, but I did find big Dungress crabs from the west coast. We also had fried shrimp and stuffed salmon. My husband didn't miss his bacala so much because we had Leo to occupy us most of the time :-)

I hope you enjoy your New Year celebration tonight and that 2009 will bring many blessings to you and your family. It has been a wonderful year of getting to know you my dear blog friend -- peace and love, PatPat @ Mille Fiori Favoritihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08922525910685129822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6195455897748645919.post-7194527156808982972008-12-31T10:46:00.000-05:002008-12-31T10:46:00.000-05:00Tara...wishing you & yours a wonderful 2009! ...Tara...wishing you & yours a wonderful 2009! Grown-ups table or kids table. We try to squeeze as many chairs around the dining room table as possible but it never seems big enough. Now that we have 2 granddaughters I'm thrilled to sit at the "kids table" to tend to them and make them smile!! I LOVE this Grandma thing!!
Happy New Year Sweetie! Which table would I have sat at, well the kids table of course. I always sit at the kids table.
I always thought the Elves wore pointy shoes because A). it was stylish and B). They stuffed cotton in the curls for added insulation...ha ha!

This has probably been a difficult Christmas for you so I've been sending up little prayers. I hope you're making it through.

xo CoriJust A Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15598085291422476354noreply@blogger.com
